It's Official--The Mariners are DEAD!

Despite the best efforts of Felix Hernandez and Ichiro, the Mariner's season is OVER. The team is dead, the victims of a half-month long losing streak that occurred right when the New York Yankees caught fire. Of course, even though we're complaining right now, none of us really believed that the Mariners would even be anywhere near this close to the playoffs when the season began. It leaves everyone with high hopes for next year, but, maybe we should just be realistic: it's going to be really hard to get past the Angels, Yankees, and Red Sox.
