welcome to my site!
Thanks for stopping by to visit my home on the web. I hope that you'll find something interesting here . . . but I'm realistic about things too. Check the left column for recent additions to the site.
about me
I'm Curt Bentley, and I'm a former law student (at Brigham Young University--see the law school's recruiting video here) and not yet an attorney because I haven't passed the bar exam. But I'll give it my best shot this July! In any event, I did graduate this last April (2008), so after thirteen years of college, I'm finally done! Right now I'm working as a future associate at Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere. It's a great mid-size firm with good attorneys and we're fielding a team for this summer's Wasatch Back Relay. This January, I'll be clerking for Justice Matthew Durrant on the Utah Supreme Court for a year. Then? Well, to wherever the winds may take us.
about my family
I have a wonderful wife (Roslyn) and three (soon to be four) cute, active kids (Randy, Shane, and Renee). You can see recent photos of them to the right, as well as in our online photo gallery. Because we were concerned with putting our kids' photos online for everyone to see, access to the gallery is restricted to those with the family code.
We give out the code to all those we know and trust, and so, if you fit that category and have some interest in our family, by all means, send us an email and get the code! We do like to show off our kids to the right people!
about my work
Like I said, I work at the law firm of Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere as a . . . second chance law clerk? I'm not really sure what my position is, although I have been offered a job if I pass the bar. I also do some freelance web design in my spare time. I don't actively seek out work, but if you think you might have a project for me, by all means let me know. For additional work experience (legal and otherwise), please view my resume.

about other stuff
I used to be a distance runner (before I started having trouble with my knees). Now I bike quite a bit and want to get faster. If I can ever fix my knees, I want to do a triathlon sometime. I also enjoy reading history, political theory, and Harry Potter. Over the few months I've bought a Nikon D40, F5, and six different lenses and, whenever I have a spare evening or morning I'm out trying to get some good pictures in the soft light.
