welcome to my site!
Thanks for stopping by to visit my home on the web. I hope that you'll find something interesting here . . . but I'm realistic about things too. Check the left column for recent additions to the site.
about me
I'm Curt Bentley, and I'm a recent graduate from Brigham Young University Law School (see the law school's recruiting video here) currently working as an associate attorney at Bennett Tueller Johnson & Deere.
about my family
I have a wonderful wife (Roslyn) and four cute, active kids (Randy, Shane, Renee, and Stephen). You can see recent photos of them to the right, as well as in our online photo gallery. Because we were concerned with putting our kids' photos online for everyone to see, access to the gallery is restricted to those with the family code.
We give out the code to all those we know and trust, and so, if you fit that category and have some interest in our family, by all means, send us an email and get the code! We do like to show off our kids to the right people!
about my work
Although being an attorney is more than a full-time job, I also do some freelance web design in my spare time. I don't actively seek out work, but if you think you might have a project for me, by all means let me know. For additional work experience (legal and otherwise), please view my resume.
about my media consumption
I'm currently reading
The Spirit of Liberty: Papers and Addresses of Learned Hand by Learned Hand (Irving Dillard ed.), started on Jan. 15, 2009,
and Present at the Creation: My Years in the State Department by Dean Acheson, started on Dec. 12, 2008.
I just finished reading
A. Lincoln: A Biography by Ronald C. White, started on Mar. 22, 2009 and finished on Mar. 30, 2009,
and Truman by David McCullough, started on Sep. 10, 2008 and finished on Oct. 25, 2008.
The last movies I watched were
The Bourne Ultimatum on Mar. 22, 2008,
and Ratatouille on Feb. 22, 2008.
about other stuff
I used to be a distance runner (before I started having trouble with my knees). Now I bike quite a bit and want to get faster. If I can ever fix my knees, I want to do a triathlon sometime. I also enjoy reading history, political theory, and Harry Potter. Over the year and a half I've bought a Nikon D700, Nikon D40, Nikon F5, and a number of different lenses and, whenever I have a spare evening or morning I'm out trying to get some good pictures in the soft light.
